Delete Your Account

We're sorry to see you go. You can request full deletion of your HanziFeed account and all associated data.

Option 1 — Delete from the App

  1. Open HanziFeed and go to the Account screen.
  2. Tap Delete Account at the bottom of the page.
  3. Re-authenticate when prompted, then confirm the deletion.

Your account and data will be removed immediately.

Option 2 — Request by Email

Send an email to hello@hanzifeed.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request".

Include the email address associated with your HanziFeed account so we can verify your identity. We will process your request and confirm deletion within 7 business days.

What Gets Deleted

When your account is deleted, we permanently remove:

  • Your Firebase Authentication record (email, display name)
  • Your user profile and display preferences
  • All saved character packs and word lists
  • Learning progress and spaced repetition data
  • Analytics data linked to your user ID

Data removal begins immediately and is completed within 30 days. Locally stored data on your device can be cleared by uninstalling the App.
